Founded in 1965, MBST serves the Birmingham area with one of the finest and largest swim and tennis facilities in the city. Our beautiful 11,000 square foot clubhouse, which has just been remodeled, overlooks two swimming pools and eighteen tennis courts. The clubhouse features a dining room, kitchen, meeting and banquet rooms, locker rooms, and bar. The club's members enjoy the outdoor pool, which features depth from 3 feet to 10 feet, during the summer months. The pool also features diving boards, a slide, two sets of steps and three ladders for easy entry for swimmers of all ages. The club's swim team hosts several events each year, as the large pool has six lanes for racing during the summer, and the indoor pool has six lanes for year-round swimming. Our entire facility is in the final
stages of a multi-million dollar remodeling project, which has added an
entirely new exercise facility, tennis court seating
for tournament activities, and a refreshment cabana. Located just minutes from
Interstate 459 between highway 280 and I-20, MBST is surrounded by forested
hillsides, yet is far enough from traffic so it never interferes with your
enjoyment of our facilities. |
